Nicolette Howells Cutright, Ph.D. received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Northern Illinois University in 2008 where she studied at The Center for Family Violence and Sexual Assault. She completed her internship at the Oklahoma Forensic Center and postdoctoral fellowships at the Tulsa Center for Child Psychology as well as Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She has expertise in psychological assessment and the treatment of trauma.
In addition to serving the law enforcement community of the greater Columbus area where she was raised, Dr. Howells maintains her practice in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands conducting assessments, working in a hospital setting, and writing and managing grants for a mental health non-profit agency. Additionally, Dr. Howells is a reviewer for a number of academic journals and serves on the VI Board of Psychology Examiners. She maintains a psychology license in both Ohio and St. Thomas and is a PsyPACT member with the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Psychology (APIT). She has taught at Franklin University as an adjunct professor since 2012. She is an active member of the American Psychological Association and has published articles related to the effects of trauma as well as resiliency factors.
